Things that are hard in Ghana…. Part 2.

Leaving. Who woulda thunk? I don’t think this is an appropriate time to summarize my trip. I’m sitting in Michael’s office, Amy Rambo just arrived from the airport, and things are hustling/bustling to get ready for the airport. It’s 10pm here and we leave for the airport at 6:15am. And what you don’t know is

Going to the beach!!

Hey friends, Though I’m not 100% sure that you are actually reading this (my blog meter is not working), I’m having a blast writing! Let me just tell you this about our New Year’s Eve celebration-1) fireworks2) nasty ping pong tournament- Kwame Michael worked me in the first round, but then he went on to

What year is it where you are?

Because see, it’s 9:18pm here, meaning that 2007 introduces itself to us in about 3 hours. I think you won’t experience it for another 8. Strange, huh? I’ll let you know how it is. Here’s the thing about Ghana- it’s just like America except it is hotter and more relaxed. Other than that, they are

What you don’t know…

is that the Mozleys live almost next door to the airport. That means that every plane that goes by, the Mozleys can tell you the time and the airline. Example at dinner- Michael to Claire- “isn’t that British Airways? They’re a little early tonight, aren’t they?” These are other things I love about Ghana- 1)

GHANA Day -1

I figure that today is “Day -1” since we leave tomorrow. Actually, we leave the house in 9 hours. Oh heavens. I’m making a new attempt on this trip. Thank you, Mallory, for your inspiration. I’m going to embrace all that is out of my comfort zone. I have a comfort zone about the size

I am an island.

Today’s Jesus’s birthday. And, because I had a moment of complete self-centeredness, it reminded me that I too have a birthday. It’s one of my favorite days of the year. July 7th. And this year, I will turn 27 on 07/07/07. Sweet, huh? Your Birthdate: July 7 You are an island. You don’t need anyone

I’m in love with this man.

You have GOT to watch this video by Dave Barnes. I have not laughed so hard all by myself since… well, this afternoon. But you know I’m not normal. And neither is Dave Barnes- I think that’s why I love him now.
