[Once a week, I am going to be sharing with you a brave story sent in from a reader. You can comment, respond, encourage. Want to submit your own story or a story of a brave friend of yours? Head to thatisbrave.com!]
This week’s #thatisbrave story comes from Ida . I think so many of us can relate to this feeling. Remember, courage looks different in each of our lives- but being brave is a daily choice. Her words and name are used with her permission.

I have experienced so many times people who I thought was some of my best friends suddenly just left me or broke my trust. Again and again it happened. It made it hard for me to get close to people, because I thought they were all the same. But then God brought wonderful friends in my life and learned me how to trust other people like He trusts me. I have broken his trust again and again, but He still wants to be my friend. Isn’t that amazing?
What a true friend we have in God! Therefore I decided my fear wasn’t going to control my life anymore, so I volunteered to be a leader at a youth group in my church. Volunteered to be real and love them with God`s love the best as possible, no matter if I might get hurt or not. #thatisbrave
